with 22in. round sighted barrel marked 'KENTUCKY' on the left side of the breech, refinished action marked 'TRIPLETT & SCOTT / PATENT DEC. 6. 1864' on the tang and 'MERIDEN MAN'FG. CO. / MERIDEN, CONN.' on the left side, walnut half-stock (some bruising, crack near hand), iron mounts and iron sling mounts
